The group's principal activities are carried out by the three segments: the architectural products and service (aps) segment, the large-scale optical technologies (lso) segment and the automotive replacement glass services (auto glass) segment. Aps designs, fabricates and installs the walls of glass and windows that form the outer shell of commercial and institutional buildings. The lso segment develops and produces picture framing glass products and optical coatings on glass and acrylic for the display and imaging markets. Auto glass fabricates, repairs and replaces automobile windshields and windows. Viratec (R), tru vue(R), ppg auto glass etc. Are some of the trademarks of the group. During fiscal 2004, the group sold its subsidiary harmon autoglass.
